Chris Brown released without charge after being held over rape claim in Paris

Chris Brown has been released from French custody without being charged after the 29-year-old singer, according to French prosecutors.

Brown was released on Tuesday evening in Paris, after a woman had come forward with a rape complaint, according to city officials.

He had been previously detained earlier in the day, potentially facing aggravated rape and drug charges.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing.

The alleged attack occurred at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Paris, and the accidents were brought forth by a 24-year-old model.

The model said that with Brown last week at a night club on the Champs Elysee, and that they were introduced through a friend.

She later duty French Closer magazine that she felt "very afraid" when she was allegedly raped in a hotel room Brown took her back to.

The hotel room has been described as "chaotic" that night, and the model said there were around 15 women there.

Brown has not yet commented on the accusations made against him.
