Quarantine in Ukraine – in which zones are the regions of the country


“Red” zone

According to epidemiological indicators, the Kherson region is in the “red” quarantine zone.

The work of cafes, restaurants, cinemas, theaters, markets, fitness centers and public events is prohibited there. The restriction does not apply to establishments where 100% of employees and visitors are completely vaccinated against coronavirus.

In addition, educational institutions can work full-time, subject to 100% vaccination of staff, and in other cases they must switch to telecommunications. The exceptions are kindergartens and grades 1-4.

Also, as of October 21, residents of the ‘red’ zone will not be able to use buses, trains or planes to travel to the regions without vaccination documents, a negative coronavirus test or a COVID recovery certificate.

“Orange” zone

According to epidemiological indicators, the Ministry of Public Health classified the following areas as “orange”:

  • Volynskaya,
  • Dnipropetrovsk,
  • Donetsk,
  • Zhytomyr,
  • Zaporizhzhya,
  • Luhansk,
  • Lviv,
  • Nikolaevskaya,
  • Odessa,
  • Sumy,
  • Kharkiv,
  • Khmelnitskaya,
  • Cherkasskaya.
  • Chernivtsi,
  • Chernihiv.

Note that the “orange” level of epidemic danger does not contain any additional restrictions and is determined by the signal that a region is approaching the “red” zone.

“Yellow” zone

Kiev and the region:

  • Vinnytsia,
  • Transkarpaten,
  • Ivano-Frankivsk,
  • Kievskaya,
  • Kirovograd,
  • Poltava,
  • Rivne,
  • Ternopil.

With the “yellow” level in the regions it is necessary to adhere to the mask regime, the social distance of 1.5 m, and mass events with the participation of more than 1 person per 4 sq. M. are also prohibited; fill more than 50% of the seats in cinemas and halls of cultural institutions; fill gyms at the rate of more than 1 person per 10 sq. m. meters.
