Last Friday night, Sandro V. (34) was injured in an argument in a parking lot. The alleged attacker fled to Germany and was arrested.
The so-called “Emir of Winterthur”, Sandro V. (34), was apparently attacked by like-minded people from the German Islamic scene: a quarrel broke out in a parking lot in Winterthur last Friday night. The returnee from Syria and, last year as head of the jihadist scene Winterthur, was convicted of Italo-Swiss wounded by a cutting weapon, presumably with a machete, as the Kapo Zurich a report confirmed by the NZZ.
The 43-year-old attacker fled and left Switzerland for Germany, where German police later arrested him. Apparently the man is a well-known figure in the German Islamic scene. He and a suspected helper are now being investigated for bodily harm.
Regulation in the environment?
“The Emir of Winterthur” went to hospital with “non-serious” injuries, from which he could be quickly discharged. The NZZ suspects the attack was due to the Islamic milieu.
Sandro V., who had attracted several people for a trip to the “Islamic State”, had resigned from IS in September 2020 at the Federal Criminal Court in Bellinzona. He said at the time that he had “de-radicalized himself”. However, the court sentenced Winterthur to more than four years in prison for participating in and supporting a criminal organization and possession of images of violence. The 34-year-old has appealed against this and is therefore free.
