Morricone, who wrote music for Tarantino's many films, was quoted in the German playboy interview. There he claims that the US director is "non-ingenious", "cretin" and "no real coach."
But now Morricone denies that the interview is even enforced and will take legal action. The Italian composer will contact his lawyer and review the newspaper to see if he can be sued.
"I did not interview German Playboy, I did not call Tarantino a Ctrert, I did not think his film was rubbish, I sent a letter of authorization to an Italian lawyer," Indiewire said in a statement.
Ennio Morricone won the Oscar for Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight" in 2016. Morricone actually went on a goodwill tour held in Stockholm, Sweden on January 27 last year. The music is released in collaboration with Tarantino.
