Three-year-olds and 49-year-olds can vaccinate free of charge against tick-borne meningoencephalitis.

Kranj The expanded vaccination program introduced this year for free vaccination introduced against tick-borne meningoencephalitis (KME) for two age groups: three-year-olds and 49-year-olds. This vaccine, funded by the Slovenian Health Insurance Institute, was born in 2016 in the birth of children and adults born in 1970. The vaccine is available and the vaccination is performed by selected personal doctors and pediatricians, reported by the National Institute for Public Health ( NIJZ).

When the epidemiologist Marta Grgi Vitek explained to the NEW, the KME in Slovenia is a very common disease, morbidity is among the highest in Europe, and a proposal was made for healthcare years ago to implement vaccination against the mandatory health insurance. This year, money was donated to vaccinate the two generations. Adults in the age of 49 are chosen to make KME's incidence in Slovenia the highest in & # 39; e age group 5564, which means that adult inoculation should be placed in a retirement age before the highest morbidity occurs. In children, the rate of illness is mostly black, but because of its long-term consequences, the burden is & # 39; a disease for her, so that the program also includes a generation child. Three-year-old children have been selected to be a systematic overview at this age, in which no other vaccination is performed.

Insurance covers three doses of the basic vaccination that will receive the vaccine within a year. For the maintenance of the cough, dosage dosages are required, which are even members. The first loading dose should be received for three years, then five years, and for the elderly from fifty years to three years.

Each year, a new generation of vibrators and 49-year-old adults will be included in the vaccination program, with a steadily increasing number of Slovenians reaching the KME, they emphasize at the NIJZ. Persons from these age groups who have been vaccinated against KME are eligible for the following three doses of the vaccine (baseline as medication).
