Years ago, Google pleasantly surprised us with a project called Fuchsia OS, which included the already established projects of the Android mobile system for mobile devices and the Chrome OS operating system for desktops and laptops. It is an interesting project as an operating system in infancy, based on the DART programming language and whose core supports all types of devices. In practice, this could mean that the Google Fuchsia system would soon be installed on a smartwatch rather than on a smartphone or desktop computer.
That Google has serious intentions with the Fuchsia OS operating system is evidenced by the fact that it has been available to external programmers since late last year. The main goal for the “opening” of the new system is of course to speed up the development of innovations. As it turns out, Google is in a hurry in this area. The novelty should be suitable for a rich range of devices, because it puts safety, the possibility of rapid upgrades and, of course, rapid operation on less powerful devices in the first place. In addition, the Fuchsia OS could be run in combination with both classic x86 processors and ARM processors, which is sure to be a lot of fun.
In addition, the operating system Google Fuchsia OS should be able to run mobile applications for Android and software for Linux without the need to adapt or use virtual operating systems. The credit for this goes to a “translator” called Starnix, who should make sure that Android and Linux applications use the core of the Fuchsia OS system without any problems. This would give the new operating system an enormous competitive advantage over other operating systems, which will of course be crucial to its success as officially announced.
