This was the last option to resolve a long-standing dispute with Ryanair.
French authorities detained Irish airline Ryanair 's airline for hours. They wanted the company to want to return illegally approved financial contributions, the AP reported on Friday.
The incident occurred Thursday at Bordeaux-Merignac International Airport in south-west France. The French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) kept its machines safe in the airport area and 149 passengers had to leave.
Office emphasized this step as the last option to resolve a long-standing dispute with Ryanair. He regretted the need to evacuate passengers.
France has repeatedly and unsuccessfully made a request to return donations from the Regional Fund in 2008-2009.
In 2014, the European Commission determined that this public contribution was illegally endorsed by Ryanair and that the company gained unjustified economic benefits.
Boeing is back.
In May of this year, DGAC delivered the final request for the fund, followed by a tetragonal aircraft, AFP reported.
Finally, Ryanair agreed to return the € 525,000 to the French authorities last Friday – 24 hours after the aircraft was detained. Passengers who need to leave the machine can continue to travel to London on other Ryanair flights in about 5 hours.
The airline did not respond to the incident immediately. On Friday, a DGAC spokesman confirmed that the issue was paid and that Ryanair will recall the Boeing 737.
