The FCC approved the SpaceX license in March 2018, the first phase of the Starlink project. In his final plan, he plans to release 12,000 satellites to provide Internet coverage. In its original application, the SpeceX FCC requested permission to launch 4,425 satellites in orbit from 1,111 to 1,325 kilometers. He wants to reduce the current 1,554 satellite orbit from 1100 kilometers to 550 kilometers, demanding change.

Low altitudes can easily be removed as soon as these satellites are damaged, broken, or stopped. At this altitude, the effects of Earth's atmosphere are greater. It is more important to place a few thousand on Starlink to keep the satellite out of orbit. These large networks can increase the risk of collisions. In February, SpaceX launched a pair of test satellites called TinTin A and TinTin B. Their mission was to test the technology to ensure the Earth's Internet coverage.
