Since the announcement of compatibility with previous versions of Xbox One, gamers have been asking for some notable games. Most requests are centered around the Call of Duty franchise, but the Final Fantasy franchise is another popular series. Recently, Microsoft announced that Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be backward compatible. The game also includes an Xbox One X update.
Of course, gamers know this and many people wanted to know what the new resolution of Xbox One X was. According to Digital Foundry, Final Fantasy XIII originally ran on a disappointing 1024 x 576p on Xbox 360. The Xbox One X version increases the resolution to 3072 (1728p). However, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII received the biggest upgrade. The game is native 4K on Xbox One X because it runs on 720p on Xbox 360.
All three titles look great on the console and it's great to know that these classics are being updated in the modern age of the game. The difference is the least. I found details that were not possible on Xbox 360.
Final Fantasy XIII
The player follows another hero that is destroyed by enemies such as lightning, snow, and God. Those who are cursed and regarded as enemies of society must depend on each other. Will they break the freedom of cursing and find out for themselves the power to determine their destiny, or will they surrender to this higher power?
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Three years after Lightning and others rescued the cocoon, some survivors decided to start again. But there is no lightning. When monsters suddenly come into town, a mysterious person named Noel seems to be saving Serra. Together they traveled to find the lightning.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
The world of Gran Pulse is sinking in the sea, and what remains is the Nova Chrysalia. Like lightning, it is your job to save as many souls as possible and lead them to a new world. Along the itinerary, you will meet a familiar face and meet new enemies in every new area.
If you're a fan of Final Fantasy games, check out Final Fantasy XIII specifically. Many Final Fantasy games are not just a cult classic, but they are a lot of fun thanks to exciting plots.
