As Autoblog writes, Mazda pulls 11,774 units of the new electric MX-30 in Europe for two reasons: the first is that the brake lights can be activated when reversing, even though the driver does not touch the brake pedal, while the second problem concerns Motor Hill Assist (MHA ) system in certain situations.
“When a vehicle moves from a slippery surface like ice to a surface with strong friction and the driver presses the brake pedal, it is possible that it starts moving after releasing the brake,” they say in Mazda.
Namely, the MHA system can misinterpret this matter as stopping on a hilly slope, and thus generates torque for that reason. Once the brake pedal is depressed again, the torque drops again. ”
According to reports from Germany, the solution to these two problems will take about twenty minutes, as long as it takes time to update the software. Unfortunately, this has to be done by an authorized service center.
