Monza circuit has moved. In the Sahara Desert. The new BMW X5, officially announced last summer with the xOffroad package, ran on an impromptu track in Morocco under the command of a professional pilot.
The weather conditions in Merzouga, Morocco, did not help those who made the legacy Monza circuit 1: 1. Topographers and technicians, engineers and architects worked on the circuit for two weeks. It felt like Sisyphus because of the sand storm that hit the area.

To depict a 5,793 km long road, the stones taken from the mountain area were painted white and red and resembled a fence protection fence found around the original circuit.
Giorgio Porello, a specialist in BMW Driving Experience, was the driver of the new BMW X5. He knew the circuit in Italy, but using the improvised version in the desert would be difficult.
