Samsung is another manufacturer that wants to give PS5 owners the right gameplay. The manufacturer presented an extended Samsung 980 Pro SSD and the drive was designed for PlayStation 5. We know the most important details of the device.

Sony has unlocked the slot for an extra SSD for PlayStation 5, so another manufacturer decided to take the plunge and prepare a special drive for it. The new Samsung 980 Pro SSD is designed with the PS5 in mind and for this reason the device has a heatsink that fits in the pocket provided by the Sony console.

The Samsung 980 Pro SSD will be available from October 29 for $ 249.99 (1TB), but to significantly expand the space for games, interested parties need to prepare as much as $ 449.99 (2TB).

The manufacturer used a well-known model, but added cooling to maintain a constant and low temperature, even during intensive work – Samsung 980 Pro SSD offers a reading speed of 7000MB / s and a write speed of 5100MB / s. It is worth noting that the device thus significantly exceeds the reading speed by Sony (5,500MB / s).

The classic Samsung 980 Pro SSD model is available in Poland for PLN 849 (1TB) or PLN 1845 (2TB), but we do not know the details of the prices of the new version yet.
