A US officer on Helge Ingstad, who is involved with the exchange program, will question the investigation.
Bergens Tidende points out that the role of US officers is the subject of police investigations. The officer was one of the 137 people on board when the frigate collided with the oil tanker Solar Night by Thursday, November 8th.
Prior to the weekend, the Pentagon confirmed that US military officers boarded the NTB when two ships collided. Saturday, the US Navy confirmed the same.
Those participating in such exchange programs usually serve for about two years and are considered active members of the host navy.
