A person dies after being hit by a train in Upper Hutt.

The man died after colliding with a train in Wallaceville, Upper Hutt.

Service will be suspended between Trentham and Upper Hutt after a person arrives near Wallaceville Station. The accident occurred about 200 meters south of the station.

Police were hit by a train at 11:15 to confirm the person who died.

Serious conflicts are under investigation.

Metlink warned travelers at 11:30 am after the "emergency service incident" service was paused.

Twitter said the train service in the area is being replaced by a bus.

Train service was resumed from the Hutt Valley line before 2 o'clock.
