Crystal Palace continues to focus on youth. Patrick Vieira’s new club has just signed Marc Guéhi, a 21-year-old Anglo-Ivorian central defender. At Chelsea, the latter comes from a successful 18-month loan spell at Swansea, in the Championship, where he has accumulated playing time (59 games) and confidence.

English international in all youth categories and world champion U17 in 2017, Marc Guéhi signed a five-year contract with the Eagles, which according to the English press would have spent about 21 million euros. Another great sale for Chelsea after that of Fikayo Tomori in Milan for almost 30 million euros.
For Crystal Palace, this is another interesting step after the signing of promising Reading midfielder Michael Olise (19). “The club is taking a very interesting direction with the new coach who has arrived. A lot of good young players are here and of course such a stable club with top players really appealed to me and made me want to come”, Guéhi responded
