"Vilnius Mama Jazz": Legends and Discovery

November 15-18 Bilnius Mama Jazz The 2018 International Jazz Festival takes place in the capital. Among the guests are Grammy-winning masters, electronic music masters and modern jazz crew.

The most famous European jazz saxophonist, Andy Sheppard, is attending the festival opening ceremony. For over 40 years, professional musician saxophonists and composers have been recognized worldwide.

"Jason Lindner is a musical world," says legendary jazz pianist Chick Corea, who is the leader of the Now Vs Now band at the Vilnius Mama Jazz scene. And he is far from being the only superstar in the world and has been interested in the talents of this musician.

British rock singer David Bowie made an unexpected decision in 2015. The Blackstar album was decided to be recorded with a jazz musician. Nobody could guess at the time, but the disc released in early 2016 became the last piece of the rock icon in a few days after it died of cancer.

Dwo Bowie recorded a swan song with Donny McCaslin's saxophone band, which was played by J. Lindner, Now West's leader. All keyboards that can be heard in this original album were recorded with nine electronic instruments and piano. Jason won the Grammys twice in her biography with her work on an upcoming album and took an impressive line.

"Vilnius Mama Jazz" does not leave the chosen route. Respect for jazz veterans is always combined with efforts to introduce as many Lithuanian artists as possible.

The Lithuanian Jazz Festival is often a Norwegian popular musician. "Vilnius Mama Jazz" is no exception. In the past year, I enjoyed the performances of Jaga Jazz, Eivindas Aarseto, Marius Neset, Arve Henriksen and Jan Bang on the main stage. This year we visit the Esperanto Eriksen trio and the famous trumpet reader Mathias Eick.

However, in the history of the most famous festivals, Norwegian guests should go to Nils Petter Molvær on 16 November. We are going to perform at the Lithuanian theater. The 58-year-old composer, trumpeter and producer is called one of the most interesting musicians in his country.

"Vilnius Mama Jazz" does not leave the chosen route. Respecting the jazz veteran is always creating a new music language now combined with efforts to introduce as many Lithuanian artists as possible.

The ambition of the trombonist and composer, and Jevervas Jasinskis, is ambitious. Last year, the 17th professional jazz band "Lithuanian JJazz Ensemble" was established. On November 15th, the Vilnius Mama Jazz stage will play with the big band Vytautas Pupšytė.

Such pessimists want to show Dome Jerksk when there is a bamboo in the public place about the seemingly disturbed and disappointing time of the present 19 years. The 18-year-old pianist goes a step further behind the bar and predicts the future of a jazz star. This summer, Geromsk participated in an original workshop in Boston where young musicians are staring at American jazz celebrities such as Terri Lyne Carrington and saxophonist Rick DiMuzio. The talent of Lithuania was also impressive. At the end of the event, the boy was known to seek scholarships to foster hundreds of world-class musicians at the legendary University of Berkeley College of Bourke.

This year's festival will be the daughter of a music legend, the vocalist Deva Mahal, the daughter of the guitarist Taj Mahal, whose father is the superstar of the American blues and who won the Grammy for the third time this year .
