It has already been reported that the increase yesterday in Krustpils is likely due to the fact that the number of Covid-19 infected clients and staff in Krustpils guest house “Jaunāmuiža” has increased this week.

In 22 municipalities this indicator is higher, including in eight it is surpassed by 50%.

Calculating the number of cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days after the changes that took place in the last day is the highest in the districts of Krustpils, Akniste, Daugavpils, Varakļāni, Salacgrīva, Mārupe and Ķekava, as well as in Jelgava.

The disease rate of 14 days per 100,000 population is a theoretical indicator that compares diseases in areas with different populations and does not indicate a specific number of cases.

Of the new cases registered the last day, 197 are 70 and older, 153 are 60 to 69, 129 are 50 to 59, and there are fewer patients in other age groups.
