St James' s War story on Saturday night Stratford World War II veteran

To commemorate the 100th anniversary in Canada, Stratford World War II veteran, I will speak with the British Royal Navy at the James Anglican Church.

Teddy Payne became famous in 1992 when he moved to the city in 1990 as a goodwill ambassador for Stratford. Famed artist and writer Payne will talk about his father's story time at 7 pm.

At the age of seventeen, Payne contracted with the Navy and worked as a convoy in the Atlantic and helped liberate the Philippines and Indonesia during World War II.

Payne joins actor / singer David Keeley, Anglican Secretary Tim Elliott's piano and singer Kirsten Pfaff to harmonize veteran tales and popular exhibition music. Audiences can sing together if they want.

Admission is free. Instead, attendees will provide funds to the Spafford Children's Center in Jerusalem, a non-sectarian medical center initiated by Payne's relatives in 1880 to help those in need regardless of cost or religion. You will have the option to, or cultural background.

Participants will also have the option to purchase Payne's stories and poems from the war. Only $ 100 each at the reception after the event at $ 20.
