Wexford's 1996 Ireland overall winner, Eamonn Scallan, has been identified as the new manager of Wicklow Senior Hurlers.
Recently, Scallan, a Wexford minster, stepped down from Seamus Murphy, who retired from his role in September. I was ill and needed fresh impetus in the army.
Wicklow will start in 2019 at Division 2B of the Allianz League before embarking on the Christy Ring Cup campaign in the summer.
@wicklowgaa GAA is pleased to announce Eamonn Scallan as the new Wicklow Hurling Manager. Eamonn has extensive experience in winning the All-Ireland medal with the Leinster Championships and Wexford. He will bring great enthusiasm to that role. pic.twitter.com/kXGcjykkGg
