Incidents on the Avenue – A police officer in the hospital after he was attacked by fans

Unrest prevailed shortly before the start of the match between Panathinaikos and Ionikos in the stadium on Alexandra Avenue, because a policeman was attacked and even injured and had to be taken to hospital.

According to information, a group of about five people attacked the policeman outside gate 14 of the stadium “Apostolos Nikolaidis”. The policeman was injured, was taken to hospital for first aid and is no danger.

Prior to the incident, however, no arrests were made and no tension was raised during the match which was normally conducted.
