Kinshasa (dpa) – 201 people have died in Congo since the outbreak of Ebola about two months ago as a result of the disease. So far, Ebola virus has been identified as 291, the Congo Health Ministry said. Over 28,000 people have been immunized against the disease. The latest outbreak focuses on Benicia and its environs in the difficult North Kivu region. Several militia and rebel groups are active, making it difficult for helpers to visit, isolate and contact their relatives quickly.
