Exhibition Babylon The Czech artist and graphic designer Michal Škapa will decorate the location of all three floors and the outside of the Villy Pellé Gallery from November 21st. Street and graffity, known under the pseudonym of Tron, presented their airbrush paintings, graphics and three-dimensional realizations. The exhibition, which runs until January 27, will be issued in December by Škapa as a monograph of the same name. The organizer was Silvia Marková.
"Up until now is the biggest monk of Škapova exhibition Babylon, which has been set up for the occasion of 'fifties, introduces the subtitle & # 39; All young people see the day when Babylon falls out of # 39; the cult Rockers recorded in 1978. "Škapa, with the help of experimental works, responds to urban structures that require a complicated civilian development by metaphors and refer to modern prophets, the current western world Babylon has been named for dying.
The exhibition is managed by one of the artistic positions of the author, which is based on detailed compositions that he records with a collage. "Various expressions and thematic lines – rational and intuitive space organization, visual encoding, language, writing, or various other ways of writing and formulating ideas – are symbolic connected to the exhibition," Mark adds.
The exhibition will be accompanied by the public workshop Airbrush Party on December 1. Within the exhibition, there will also be educational programs for schools and the general audience. In January, visitors can make a commented tour with the writer and curator Radko Wohlmuth.
Michal Škapa originated from a strong street style generation of the so-called writers of # 39; the middle of the nineties and his story of graffity could lead to a distinctive artificial approach and style that he dispatched from the & # 39; the urban environment could be hurled to the gallery and art collections. His work can also be found on books, magazines and music. In his free work, he resists himself with a number of formats including musical paints, acrylic manuscripts, airbrush figurative compositions and side-specific installations.
The artist belongs to the circle of writers of legendary Praha Trafačky, he is also the founder of the screen printing workshop Analog! BROS and co-owner of the BiggBoss label. He has contributed to various important industrial presentations, including the expanded international graffiti and street show names from 2008. He represented the Czech Republic at EXPO 2010 in Shanghai.
