Central Bohemia – The disease is raised, but there is no flu. Thus, at week 46, summaries of the results of central bohemian hygienists from the results of acute respiratory infections and pediatricians' reports of patient flu outbreaks.
If the disease could be influenza due to clinical symptoms, hygienists increased by 33.3%, a third increase over the previous week. This disease in the central Bohemia region currently represents eight patients per 100,000 people. But the actual flu does not work, says Lilian Ruml, head of the Department of Epidemiology, Central Bohemian Hygiene. This has been proven by laboratory studies. "The influenza virus was negative in the biological sampling performed," Ruml said.
However, such a flu-like illness is merely a drop in the ocean of complete morbidity. According to the hygienist calculations, it represents only 0.8 percent of the total number of acute respiratory infections in this area. An increase of 6.9% was recorded last week.
The national average population is 1054 diseases per 100,000 people. However, there are significant differences between regions. The highest percentage of patients was recorded in Příbram (although the situation was virtually unchanged from the previous week). Conversely, it is best for Kladensko. "The most affected age group is children under the age of five." Ruml typically reminded the public of the distribution of respiratory diseases in the population.
