Taking into account the situation experienced by the Covid-19 pandemic, aware of the risk of infection for teachers, students and officials, the scope of training practices in clinical and non-clinical institutions of the programs of the Faculty of Science is expanded of Health at the University of Magdalena.
With the foregoing, it is proposed to return to complementary practices under traffic lights as of May 3 under penalty of the epidemiological circumstances in which the district is found and the decrees of the national and territorial entity in force before the proposed date.
Magdalena University confirmed through a statement signed by the direction of the medical program, that the 28 students who practice in medical centers like the Rotary Stage (1 and 2); they were already vaccinated in the biological application phase.
In addition, it indicates that it rejects any misinformation that attempts to damage the institution’s efforts in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Unimagdalena informed that it has developed qualification processes in biosafety measures, for the implementation of training practices in clinical and non-clinical scenarios of the programs of the Faculty of Social Sciences and also, the preservation of the lives of teachers, students and officials, has provided to the academic community the elements of personal protection.
Through the communication, he stated that “it guarantees the entire academic community safe conditions for the training process in the various disciplines, this achieved with the takeover of civil liability and insurance policy for occupational risks.”
The Unimagdalena also carried out the characterization of teachers and students according to the technical guidelines to be informed on the PISIS platform of the Ministry of Social and Social Protection.
“The institution has been working with the advice of the Ministry of Social Protection, to load the information in the PISIS application since 24 February of the current year, the above, to achieve priority of our students and lecturers in Phase 1 stage 2, following the provisions of Decree 109 of January 2021. The 28 students of the medical program doing their Rotary internship (1 and 2) in the various institutions for health care providers were prioritized and vaccinated according to the provisions of ‘ the National Vaccination Plan against Covid-19 “, the statement said.
The institution is currently reporting, which is in the process of loading and validating the information on the PISIS platform in accordance with the established guidelines.
“We invite the student and teacher community to update their data in their respective EPS so that the information is recorded in the social security system and problems with their data on the Mi Vacuna platform are avoided. The University will apply to people on the platform. It will be the Ministry of Health and Social Protection that identifies the people to be vaccinated in each phase of the National Vaccination Plan against Covid-19, according to the priority population groups.
